State Associations Advocacy Work Group
By increasing communication and participation among and between Rt. 66 stakeholders and sectors, the State Associations Advocacy Working Group is working together to solve common problems.
The current goals of the State Associations Advocacy Working Group include:
Improve communication and participation among and between sectors (tourism, preservation, associations, transportation, economic and community development) to leverage their work for the benefit of the entire road.
Progress being made by the State Advocacy Group on these goals is reported in the Annual and Quarterly Reports found in the Resources section of this website.

The Tribal Advisory Group
The purpose of the Tribal Advisory Group is to provide The Road Ahead Initiative’s Board of Directors with a Tribal perspective as it works to achieve its mission.
Rt. 66 crosses the North American continent, and in doing so travels through more than 25 different tribal nations. It is important that the American Indian community play a role in helping achieve the mission of The Road Ahead Initiative by contributing its experience, insight, and knowledge.

The International Advisory Group
The purpose of the International Advisory Group is to provide The Road Ahead Initiative’s Board of Directors with an international perspective as it works to achieve its mission.
Rt. 66 is not just an American road. It is a global phenomenon. As such, it is important that the international community plays a role in helping achieve the mission of The Road Ahead Initiative.
The International Advisory Group is in the process of recruiting members.
